  1. Clinic has done what few bands do -- make each subsequent album as good as or better than the one that preceeded it. Based on this album (or, rather, a collection of three EPs), you'd have to go back to Clinic's infancy to find a period when they were bad. This album has punk streak to it, but it is more diverse than just banging and crashing.5/5(1).
  2. A playful callback to the s variety television show of the same name, Wheeltappers and Shunters is a title befitting of what Clinic was looking to achieve with their eighth studio album: "a satirical take on British culture - both high and low".
  3. Visitations is the fourth album by indie rock band Clinic, released on 16 October on Domino. The video for the single "Harvest (Within You)" was a featured video on YouTube.

  5. Oct 19,  · This lends Visitations a rumbling, tumbling momentum but makes the album sound more uniform than it ought to; "Family" and "Children of Kellogg" are practically the same song, except the former.
  6. Jan 11,  · Visitations by Clinic is the album I didn't know I'd bought. I buy a lot of my stuff from Vinyl Exchange in Manchester and to save on space they don't put jewel cases out on the shelves for the great unwashed to look through. Instead they have cards with details of album and artist written on them/5(12).

  8. Starting the best opening song of the year,'Family' (nothing else comes close), Visitations moves at a breakneck speed through wah-wah guitar fuelled ballads, blistering non-intelligible punk thrashers and accoustic death marches and then clocks out as soon as it came barely 30 minutes later. the best clinic album to date, it seem they have.
